Privacy

Last updated: 27 June 2026

Sydneydoku has no user accounts and doesn't ask you for personal information like your name or email.

Your gameplay

Your puzzle progress, result, and settings stay in your browser (localStorage) — we don't receive them tied to you. To avoid counting you twice in a day's stats, your browser creates a random, anonymous token and sends it when you finish a puzzle. It isn't linked to your identity and is automatically deleted after a few days. We keep only anonymous, aggregate stats — how many people played a day's grid, the spread of scores, and which stations were used — to improve the game and show how you compare.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. It sets cookies and collects data such as the pages you view, your device and browser type, and your approximate location. Learn more about how Google uses data, and opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Advertising

We show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve personalized ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can control or turn off ad personalization at Google Ad Settings, and opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu.

Your choices

Where required — for example in the EU, UK, and EEA — we ask for your consent before setting analytics and advertising cookies, using a consent banner. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time via Privacy settings in the footer.
